Shortly after we brought home our new kitten, P became ill with a virus. He was so poorly that we thought we were going to lose him. He stopped eating and went from being overweight to underweight in less than a month. He stopped playing, his coat became dull, and he slept most of the time.
Even after he had mostly recovered on paper, we could not get the weight back on him. He had previously been fed supermarket cat food but, since his illness, his bowel movements had been little more than water with the occasional lump, and the smell was awful. For a year, we tried and failed to get our previously playful boy back.
Our kitten had arrived eating LUNA & me but, when he went off it, so did P. This was why we returned to commercial cat food. After researching the benefits of raw feeding, I decided to give it another try.
After about two weeks, I started to see a difference. His energy came back, the light returned to his eyes, and he began playing with our other kitten. Within two months, he had regained the weight he had lost, and his coat was beautiful and shiny once again.
The best change we noticed was in the litter tray. It fixed in a week what a year of probiotics and medication could not, and the smell is 100% better than it was.
We now have three cats, and our first litter of kittens has just arrived. All of our cats are now fed LUNA & me, and the kittens will be weaned onto it too.
None of our cats beg for food during the day now, whereas before, they would follow us into the kitchen looking for top-ups. The feeding calculator on the website has also been spot-on with the amounts needed for each meal, so it is a great tool.
