Hugo

Our little Hugo joined our family in 2020, but was soon having problems with mobility. At just 7 months old he was diagnosed with Legg Calve Perthes disease in both hips, which meant his mobility and use of his back legs was badly affected, more in one side than the other. At just 8 months old Hugo had an operation to remove his hip joint, known as an FHO. The road to recovery was about 3 months in total.

Hugo has always been raw fed, but as he is a toy breed (under 6kg) it was such a pain having to buy huge tubs or chubbs of raw completes and then portioning them up into his tiny 50 - 100g feeds.

When I discovered LUNA & me it was literally life-changing! The Patties being just 100g makes feeding time sooo much easier! No messing about with portioning and cling filming for hours on end!

Initially Hugo was very fussy with food, and would only eat meat only products, however I tried him on LUNA & me Adult mixed blend patties and he loved them! I was amazed!

When Hugo was neutered he lost a lot of confidence, and he also started eating more, his appetite really did get big! He gained a lot of weight within a few months, going from about 4.0kg to 5.8kg, that on top of his mobility issues was not good for him. It was, therefore so important to make sure his diet is complete, and the fat content is low as he doesn't really move far!

He is such a funny little guy, with a big personality! Affenpinschers are such a "goofy" breed he makes us laugh every day. So Hugo is probably a customer for life!
